“Detachment” star Adrien Brody was spotted having dinner with stunning brunette bag designer Rocio Olbes at STK Midtown on Saturday. Witnesses said Brody and Olbes dined in the private room with many from the cast and crew from the movie “The Bourne Legacy,” which opens in August. Our spy said, “Adrien had dinner with Rocio and others from the ‘Bourne Legacy,’ then they all went out. He and Rocio left shortly after, while others stayed to party.”

Who is Rocio Olbes?

Rocio Olbes is a famed bag designer who has been featured and interviewed in Vogue Italia. She is of Hispanic and Filipino heritage. Her line of bags was also featured in the coffee table book, "Bag", along with Hermes, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Balenciaga, etc.

As I called the players individually so that we could check their accreditation cards and kits, Philippine player LEXTON MOY (no. 25) stood by my right side and said in a loud voice "Must be a B cup," to which the players laughed loudly. As I was the only female in the room, he was apparently referring to my bra size. He could not have been talking about men's athletic cups, as their sizes are specified as extra-small, small, medium, large, and extra-large vis-a-vis cup sizes of women's brassieres, which are specified in letters. Additionally when I checked Philippine player ANGEL GUIRADO (no. 12) he stood in front of me purposely just wearing his briefs and made no attempts to wear shorts or cover his underwear. Again, the players loudly laughed while I was checking this player.

Artistic or Racism?

"In our pursuit to come up with edgier covers, we will strive to be more sensitive."

Above is the cover and quote released by FHM Philippines after it received unfavorable remarks regarding their latest magazine cover. Facebook, Twitter, and the blogging community is mostly aghast by the "racism" depicted in this picture. The caption "Stepping of out the shadows" most probably pertains to the cover girl's efforts to step out of her famous family's achievements and make it big all on her own. The photograph, however, delivered another message to most Filipinos.

The cover has been pulled out and Bella Padilla was recently interviewed by BBC. Now, the world would would really come to know who she is. 'Cause I don't have the vaguest idea. (Sorry to her fans. LOL. )

I just read from my favorite blog, Chuvaness, that Adrien Brody is in Manila. Yes, The Pianist is in the Philippines.

Apparently, he was seen lining up in NAIA 3 and boarding a domestic flight.

Richard Yap aka Papa Chen Sy

The Chef In The Chowking Commercial is now Papa Chen Sy

I started watching My Binondo Girl because of Laureen Uy. I love her fashion sense and entrepreneurship at such a young age. Then, I started noticing the other members of the cast. Aside from the veterans (Cherry Pie and Gina Pareno), handsome prince charming material (Xian Lim) and the lovely Miss Marina Benipayo (who ,I found out from my friend's blog, is a teacher at SoFa), there's another face that's stealing the limelight. 

That person is no other than Richard Yap, popularly known as Papa Chen Sy, playing Kim Chiu's strict and conventional Chinese father. He hails from Cebu, father of two, and holds a marketing job in his province. He plays the role excellently and is very believable.
