Adrien Brody + Rocio Olbes

From the New York Post:
“Detachment” star Adrien Brody was spotted having dinner with stunning brunette bag designer Rocio Olbes at STK Midtown on Saturday. Witnesses said Brody and Olbes dined in the private room with many from the cast and crew from the movie “The Bourne Legacy,” which opens in August. Our spy said, “Adrien had dinner with Rocio and others from the ‘Bourne Legacy,’ then they all went out. He and Rocio left shortly after, while others stayed to party.”

Front Page Dilemma

The Philippine Daily Inquirer's front page flaunts pictures of Demetrio Vicente, a witness for the defense in the Renato Corona impeachment trial. The collage of pictures shows the various facial expressions of the witness.

What was the picture's goal? Was it to put a lighter tone on the dreary impeachment trial? Or maybe, just maybe, the Inquirer did not take into account that Demetrio Vicente was once a stroke victim which may have led him to retain some facial tics?

20 Reasons Why I Dislike The Philippines

That is the title of this YouTube video I am currently viewing. Since the Internet connection is snail-paced, I'm sharing this in advance before I actually finish watching it.

I'm pretty sure many of us Filipinos have a lot to say about this foreigner's views on our country. My reaction to his first few sentences was: If you hate it so much, why don't you leave?

The answer might be because he actually found 20 reasons why he loves the Philippines.

Arnold Clavio on the Azkals

So, the GMA reporter Arnold Clavio comments on the Azkals' harrassment records, how they're just pretending to be Filipinos, etc.

I am with Mr. Clavio in his stance about taking sexual harassment cases seriously. I am with him when he wondered why somebody would comment on a guy's bra size. I am with him when he said that the Azkals should have apologized without putting in unnecessary comments. They are saying sorry. That should mean they are acknowledging having hurt somebody's feelings.

However, I think that he should have left a few words unsaid. Like the thing about not being Filipino. I mean, who can really decipher who is more Filipino or of a certain nationality between people?

Does this come across as a racist rant to you?

The Purple People Will Rule

I just changed my nail polish. Google addict that I am, I started to research about the color I love so much. Hence, the purple background of my blog posts.
Mixing furious red and serene blue will result in the color purple. Thus, it is believed that purple denotes an "unrest" in emotion, striving to find a balance between relaxed and tense.
An anti-apartheid rally in Africa is dubbed as  the "Purple Rain Protest". The police cannon sprayed water with purple dye to later identify the protesters and arrest them. But the  latter took hold of the water cannon and sprayed the city's buildings in an effort to stop the spraying.

Some of my purple stuff.

This post was inspired by my recent nail polish color.
